Karina Polanco
Biography
Karina “Sunshine” Polanco was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She is an elementary school Dual Language teacher in the New York City Department of Education. She holds a Bachelors in Childhood Studies and a Master of Science in Education with a Bilingual Extension. She believes “being Bilingual is a Superpower.” She enjoys reading and writing and in the future hopes to become a Principal and an author. She believes the world needs more magic, KINDNESS and most of all compassion. She is a positive thinker and believes “kindness make you the most beautiful person in the world no matter what you look like”. Every day she steps into her classroom and tries her best to be the teacher she wishes she had growing up. She is passionate about Education, animals and saving the planet; she has been a Vegan and an advocate for animals for two years and before that a Vegetarian for five years. She believes THE FUTURE IS VEGAN; –
